 Presidency Anxiety in APC as Supreme Court rules in PDP s suit seeking Tinubu s disqualification

Anxiety has reportedly gripped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Supreme Court is set to deliver judgment on Friday in a suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the candidacy of Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.

PlatinumPost reports that the Supreme Court had on Monday fixed Friday for judgement in the suit challenging Tinubu’s candidacy on account of the alleged double nomination of Kashim Shettima as his vice-presidential pick and as a senatorial candidate for the 2023 general elections.

It was gathered that some chieftains of APC and close associates of Tinubu are troubled over the possible outcome of the the Supreme Court’s verdict following the renewed hope observed in the camp of Atiku Abubakar-presidential candidate of the PDP in recent days.

Recall that spokesperson of the PDP presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwala, had Wednesday said it is only God that knows who would be sworn in on May 29 as Nigerian president, saying the Supreme Court will be the decider on Friday.

PlatinumPost, however, reports that the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, had on Thursday threw out another case that was aimed at stopping Tinubu’s inauguration even as it fined the plaintiff N40 million.
