NEPC CEO bags NUJ FRCN best promoter of non-oil products award

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Abuja Chapel has conferred the Award of Best Promoter of Nigerian Non-Oil Products on the Executive Director/CEO of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Dr. Ezra Yakusak.
The Award is in recognition of his achievements in the promotion and export of Nigerian Non-Oil products since assumption of office.
In 2022, NEPC under the leadership of Dr. Ezra Yakusak recorded 4.820 billion dollars Non-Oil export performance which the highest since the establishment of the Council 47 years ago.

Aside this, the Council has also recorded over one billion dollars in the export of Non-Oil products in the first quarters of 2023.
These among many other achievements informed the Award which was presented to him in Abuja during the 2023 Annual Press Week and Award Presentation of NUJ, FRCN Abuja Chapel with the theme “Roles Of Media Professionals In Socio-economic Development Of Nigera.
Receiving the Award, Dr. Ezra dedicated it to God, his family, members of staff of NEPC and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Yakusak who described the export of Non-Oil commodities as vital to national economic development advised all stakeholders to key into the Export For Survival Campaign of NEPC to fast track the diversification of the nation’s economy and boost the country’s GDP.
According to him, the Council has established Export Warehouses in China and other countries in Africa and Europe, ensure regular training for Nigerian exporters, issued certification, offered incentives as well as other intervention programmes aimed at promoting the export of Nigerian Non-Oil commodities.
Earlier, the Chairperson, NUJ, FRCN Abuja Chapel, Comrade Shakirat Alabi who commended the achievements of Dr Ezra Yakusak within the shortest period of assuming office as the Executive Director/CEO of NEPC expressed the hope that the Award would further encourage him to do more to enhance national economic development
Highlights of the Press Week were paper presentation by some Renowned Media Scholars and conferments of Awards on other notable Nigerians from both the public and private sector who have contributed their quota to the progress of the country and upliftment of humanity.
