Delta State Government has said it had uncovered plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to subvert the Governship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

The Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr Charles Aniagwu, made the disclosure during a press briefing in Asaba.

Aniagwu said the APC had procured military uniforms, saying that it was with the intention to infiltrate the security agencies and undermine the electoral process.

The commissioner further disclosed that the APC Governship Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, from report received, had planned to use his office as Deputy Senate President to intimidate voters, using security personnel.

He called on the high command in the military and other security agencies to ensure that their ranks and file were not infiltrated or used to compromise the electoral process.

Aniagwu equally called on members of the public to come out and vote tomorrow, saying that the security agencies had assured of their safety.

He advised the APC Governship Candidate to desist from desperation, but to see election as a democratic process where people should be allowed to freely vote for candidates of their choice.
