Forensic experts locating source of Atiku’s ‘rigging’ audio – Osita Chidoka

Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, says forensic experts have been engaged to track the source of viral audio which purportedly revealed an alleged plan by Atiku Abubakar to rig the 2023 presidential election.
Chidoka, who is the Director, Voter Intelligence and Strategy of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, however, dismissed the viral audio as totally fake.
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, who stated this in a post on his social media pages on Friday, said his party candidate, Atiku, was poised for victory in Saturday’s election, adding that the fear of defeat has prompted political opponents to engage in spreading fake news.

We note with amusement efforts by a losing desperate party to distort public opinion using cheap technology to doctor and re engineer audio and video recordings.
This last-minute effort is a clear indication of the growing realisation that the game is over.
After years of misrule, now confronted with the reality of no records to campaign with they are resorting to fake news to deceive Nigerians.
The PDP has conducted a dignified and issues-oriented campaign in the face of ceaseless, unrelenting, and vicious personal attacks, blackmail, and dubious attempts at impersonation.
Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa remain focused and committed to the task of recovering Nigeria and ensuring peaceful and successful elections as a necessary step for the task ahead.
To be sure, our adherence to an issues-based and dignified campaign should not be misconstrued as incapacity to storm the barricades. We are ready.
It is an offence to spread fake news in the electoral act and our forensic experts are already locating the source(s) of the circulating fake news and we will share the same with Law Enforcement Agencies.
We ask all our supporters to remain calm and prepare to head to the poll units tomorrow. The decision of who leads Nigeria will be made at the polls not behind software applications. ”
