BREAKING : Jigawa gov names new Emir of Dutse

Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has approved Muhammad Hameem Sanusi as the new Emir of Dutse, with effect from Sunday, 5th February, 2023.

This follows the approval of the seven man-committee of the Dutse Emirate kingmakers, who unanimously selected Muhammad Hameem as the new Emir of Dutse with all seven votes among the three contenders of the royal seat.

It was learnt that, the approval was later forwarded to Jigawa State Council of Chiefs, which also approved the decision of the kingmakers

The statement said the Council of Chiefs sent the name of Muhammad Hameem and the other two contestants to the governor for his final approval.

In his good will message to the new Emir, Governor Badaru felicitated with the monarch and wished him God’s guidance, wisdom and protection as he assumed the mantle of leadership in Dutse Emirate.
