National Football League free agent, Antonio Brown, has claimed his Snapchat account was hacked as an explicit photo of Chelsie Kyriss, the mother of his children, was posted on his page Tuesday.
‘My snap chat page has been Hacked. Working with @snapchatsupport to get this fix asap,’ Brown, an American football wide receiver from Liberty City, Miami, tweeted Wednesday, distancing himself from being responsible for the sexually explicit photo being posted.
The image showed Kyriss, who reported Brown’s account to Snapchat, performing oral sex in bed. The post was claimed to have been deleted prior to his account being suspended.
In response to Brown’s tweet claiming he had been hacked, Snapchat Support’s automated response replied: ‘Hey! Let’s see how we can help. Send us a DM with some details on what’s happening and we’ll take it from there.’
Another user was not buying it, writing back, ‘you know what is happening…’
Snapchat, a photo-sharing platform that allows images to disappear after a certain period of time, has clear guidelines prohibiting sexually explicit content.
They were also quoted Tuesday by TMZ as saying they, ‘prohibit sexually explicit content and bullying or harassment of any kind.’
After the photo surfaced on Brown’s Snapchat page, Kyriss quickly reported it.
‘I have reported his page and all pictures,’ Kyriss claimed Tuesday to TMZ.
‘Unfortunately Snapchat is allowing him to repost. I am very sorry for any of your kids that follow him and used to look at him as a role model. I do not condone these actions as you are aware I have kids involved as well.’
Initially after the pictures emerged, Brown took to Twitter to share his thoughts, describing a state as ‘somewhere between psy.chot.ic and i.con.ic’.
In two follow up tweets he added, ‘what more Can I SAY NOW?’
Brown and his Snapchat account has had previous with hitting the headlines after he taunted former teammate Tom Brady back in November.
The former NFL receiver had been accused of cheating by Kyriss-a mother of five children, on multiple occasions. Accordingly, the couple had a bust-up and separated in late 2019. There were some legal suits between them.
Antonio apologized on February 2 on Instagram, publicly calling it the “World’s Biggest Apology.”
