The five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors (G5) who are opposed to the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, are set to meet in Enugu for a crucial meeting.
The governors which include Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, had recently met in the coal city over the crisis rocking the party.
PlatinumPost gathered that the fresh Enugu’s meeting may not be unconnected with the G5 moves to reconcile with the presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Governor Ortom of Benue State has already arrived Enugu for the meeting, while others are expected to join him soon.
