2023: Tinubu, APC dare sit-at-home order, to hold rallies in Anambra, Imo on Mondays
In what appears to be a challenge on sit-at-home being observed in South-East, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, have fixed presidential rallies for Imo and Anambra States for Mondays.
The APC presidential campaign train will hit Anambra state on Monday, January 30, 2023.
According to the campaign schedule made available on Thursday, the Tinubu/Shettima train will also be in Imo state on Monday, November 21, 2022.
PlatinumPost reports that Anambra, Imo and some other states in the South-East have been observing sit-at-home every Monday following the continuous detention of leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the schedule, southeast zonal stakeholders’ meeting will also take place on that day in Owerri, Imo state capital.
It however remains to be seen whether this move by the APC to campaign on Mondays in the southeast is just a coincidence or a strategic move to dare IPOB.
PlatinumPost reports that Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who is a former governor of Anambra State, enjoys huge support in the South East region.
Obi had in a recent interview said if elected president he would discuss with IPOB and other aggrieved persons in order to find a final solution to their grievances.
