Ganduje excited as Kano indigene becomes new VON Head of Hausa Service

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has expressed delight and congratulated Tukur Garba Arab over his new appointment as Head of Hausa Service of the Voice of Nigeria (VON).
The management of the national radio station had announced the appointment of Mr Arab on Thursday at the end of an extensive management training in Abuja.
Reacting to the appointment, Mr Ganduje described Mr Arab, an indigene of Kano as “a professional who believes in ethical practice and commitment to duty.”
“Tukur Garba Arab’s appointment as the Head of Hausa Service of the Voice of Nigeria (VON) is not only a reward of hard work to him alone, it is a good omen for the state and other professional colleagues,” the governor was quoted as saying in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar.

He urged Mr Arab to continue with the good work he is being identified with, adding that, “his elevation to this position is, but an attestation to his dedication, good work and compliance with global best practices.”
Mr Ganduje urged other professional colleagues of Mr Arab to take a leaf from him and work hard to attain ethical standard in their professional and assigned responsibilities.
