Public affairs analyst and Convener of a non-governmental organisation, Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, has accused Peter Obi – the presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections of breeding terrorists.
The Kogi-born firebrand activist, who hinged his accusation on reported threats being allegedly dished out by supporters of the former Anambra State governor, expressed concerns over the behaviour of Obi’s political loyalists.
Adeyanju stated this in a tweet on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
He said : “Peter Obi is breeding terrorists in the name of running for president. People who threaten fellow citizens with death in the name of politics then proceed to insult those who criticize their action and also double down with more propaganda, lies and fake news.”
PlatinumPost reports that Sam Omatseye of the Nation Newspaper, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, among others, have recently accused Obi’s supporters of issuing threats to them following their criticisms of the popular politician.
But Obi has, however disassociated himself from such threats or any form of violent behaviour towards others, even as he called on his mostly youthful supporters to be tolerant of opposing views.
