Ganduje names top govt official to oversee chief of staff office
Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has directed the Head of Civil Service, Usman Bala, to oversee the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor with immediate effect.
PlatinumPost reports that the former Chief of Staff to the Governor, Ali Makoda, had a few days ago resigned his appointment over his 2023 political ambition, a decision that prompted Ganduje to name Bala as the official to oversee the office.
Bala was the Principal Private Secretary to governor during his first tenure in office.
A terse statement issued by Kano State’s Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, which was made available to PlatinumPost on Sunday, indicated that the supervision would be pending the appointment of a substantive Chief of Staff.
The governor, the statement added, expressed the hope for effective supervision and coordination by the Head of Service, having served in the office before.
