BREAKING: Kwankwaso storms Shekarau’s residence over NNPP defection deal

Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has arrived at the Kano residence of Ibrahim Shekarau, to finalise the agreement of the Senator’s planned defection to New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Shekarau had been expected to officially announce his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday but the plan was shelved for an undisclosed reason.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State had visited Shekarau Friday night over the alleged defection plan after which both of them were summoned to Abuja.
But on Sunday, Kwankwaso arrived at the Mudunbawa Kano home of Shekarau, alongside other bigwigs of NNPP to conclude on the defection plan said to be scheduled for official announcement on Monday.
