Shekarau and Ganduje

Former Kano state governor, Ibrahim Shekarau and incumbent Kano state governor, Abdullahi have reconciled their differences aimed at ensuring the victory of the All progressive congress (APC).

The duo at a parley held at the Kano state government House pledged to work together for the interest of the party in Kano state.

Recall that Ganduje and Shekarau have been at loggerhead since the conduct of the ward, local and state Congresses in the state.

Before the reconciliation Shekarau was leading a group of aggrieved APC stalwarts known as the G 7.

An FCT High Court had validated the congresses the Shekarau group claimed it conducted.

However, Appeal Court Abuja Division quashed the judgment of the lower court and declared the Ganduje group as the authentic APC in the state.

The G7 had since appealed the judgment and the Supreme Court have reserved judgment.

PlatinPost gathered that the National Chairman of the APC Abdullahi Adamu have waded into the crisis in most of the states.

He particularly want former governors who are serving Senators to be given automatic tickets.

Mr Adamu is equally working on the same trajectory in Gombe state and Kebbi state respectivley.

On this premise, Shekarau approached Ganduje at the meeting that lasted into the wee hours of Tuesday from 12:am.

The two bared their minds about the contending issues and it was resolved that Shekarau should go for second term.

PlatinumPost further gathered that part of the plan to cement the reconcialition, both Ganduje and Shekarau are billed to meet with the National chairman Adamu tomorrow in Abuja.
