How Northern Nigeria turns out huge votes Reno Omokri

A former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has explained how the Northern part of Nigeria gives massive votes during elections.

The human rights activist stated that northerners are willing to leave their engagements to vote regardless of the challenges they are faced with.

A post on Omokri’s social media handle reads in part, “Political momentum is built in the grassroots, not on social media, and that momentum is growing quietly in the North.

“In 2019, SE registered 10.05 million voters. But, only 2.09 million voted, which is 19%. Meanwhile, NW registered 20.1 million voters. And 8.2 million voted. Which is 40%.

Northerners With Pvcs

Northerners With PVCs

“All the Northerners you see in this photo may not have Twitter profiles, but they only have PVCs. Learn from their willingness to leave farms, trades, jobs, and businesses to stay in that queue, rain or shine until they vote. This is how to get power, not by tweeting!

“But while we were voting on #BBNaija, Northerners were registering to vote in Naija. Then when NW delivers 10 million votes, we shout rigging!”
