Edo PDP forum urges party to zone Etsako East chairmanship seat to North Ivie — PDP

Ahead of the Edo State local government elections, the North Ivie Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)] Consultative Forum, has called on the leadership of the party in Etsako East Local Government Area to zone the chairmanship position to its zone.

The forum, which consists of PDP leaders in ward 9 and ward 10 of the local government, said zoning the chairmanship seat to North Ivie will ensure equity, fairness and justice.

A statement signed by Ibrahim Aliyu (Ward 9) and Daniel M. (Ward 10) on behalf of the forum, said the group would work
with any candidate presented by Okpella Zone for 2023 Edo State House of Assembly seat.

The statement obtained by PlatinumPost on Thursday read: “The Forum have taken a close look at the political happening in Etsako East Local Government as it affects the North Ivie Zone and resolved as follows:

“That for Equity, Fairness and Justice the North Ivie Zone should be allowed to produce the incoming Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council.

“Subsequently, the Forum hereby endorsed Comrade Rabi Mary Egujie as the candidate for the Etsako East Local Government Chairmanship in the next election, Having been fully accepted by the Leaders across the divide in the Local Government.

The Forum will work with any candidate presented by Okpella Zone for the House of Assembly slot.

The Forum is to enback on mass mobilization across the Local Government for the actualization of the above.”
