Why South East records low turnout during elections

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri on Sunday revealed that the southeast records low voters turnout during elections because money is sweeter than election.

Omokri stated he got this shocking revelation during a discussion with his Igbo associates on why they don’t struggle to travel home for Christmas but have watered down interest in voter registration and elections.

The former aide added that Igbos drive down their numbers by moving to other zones for commerce, therefore their numbers are not concentrated.

In a post obtained by PlatinumPost, Omokri stated, ”I had discussions with my Igbo associates about why they are willing to return home for Christmas, but not for voter registration or election. Their response? Ego na su so kari election! Shocking. I know. But that is the reason behind the low voter turnout in the SE.

“Igbos have a larger voting numbers than SW or SS. But they drive down their numbers by moving to other zones for commerce. The result is that their numbers are not concentrated. Igbos go home for Christmas. Northerners go home for voter registration and elections!

“Many people think the SE has the lowest voter numbers because of low population. False. I study politics like a science. The reason behind their low numbers is because South-easterners don’t turn up during voter registration in the quantum that other regions do!
