Presidency shuts-out Sowore from Aisha Buhari’s dinner with presidential aspirants

The Presidential Villa has excluded one of the contenders for 2023 presidency, Omoyele Sowore, from the invitation to a dinner organised by the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, for presidential aspirants.
Those expected to be at the dinner include; former Lagos state governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Ameachi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Rivers state governor Nyisom Wike, among other presidential aspirants across all political parties.
Sowore, who is the publisher of the SaharaReporters, contested against President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 and still seeking the ticket of his party the African Action Congress (AAC) to recontest for the exalted seat in 2023.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, had invited presidential aspirants from various political parties to the State House Conference Centre for an iftar dinner.

The invitees were asked not to come to the venue of the dinner with their phones, and only carry their invitation cards which would serve as the only entry permit for the event.
Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Wife of the President, Aliyu Abdullahi, confirmed the development
But when PlatinumPost reporter contacted Sowore on the invitation, Sowore said he was not among the aspirants invited.
His words: “No. They dare not invite me.”
Opinions were, however, divided on whether the presidential aspirants should honour the wife of the President’s invitation or not. :
While some believe the invitation was in order, some other Nigerians think otherwise.
