 Expect power outage AEDC tells Abuja residents

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), Friday, announced that there would be power interruption in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for seven hours on Saturday.

The interruption, according to the company, would enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out maintenance on a major transformer in Karu.

This was made known in a public notice obtained by PlatinumPost on Friday.

It reads : “Dear Esteemed Customer,
This is to notify you that the Transmission Company of Nigeria
(TCN) will be carrying out a maintenance exercise on a 60MVA
132/33KV TRI Transformer at Karu, on Saturday 23rd April, 2022
from 9am to 4pm.

” The Outage will interrupt power supply on 33KV feeders: K1, K2 & K3 servicing entire Karu site and part of Jikwoyi, Angwan Gede, Kurudu and environs, Loyola Jesuit College, Gidan Daya, Angwan Madaki and environ, Gidan Mangoro, Orozo, Mararaba Loko, Karshi, Navy Estate, City College, Mararaba and environs.

“While regretting the inconvenience, please be assured that it is
intended to ensure better service delivery.”
