Deputy governor celebrates donation of video camera to NTA

The Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, has taken to his Facebook page to celebrate donation of digital camera to Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area.

PlatinumPost reports that Shaibu, who hails from Jattu-Uzairue, said on Friday that the donation was in recognition of the bravery of the media, especially the NTA.

He said: ” In a further demonstration of my passionate love for the Nigerian media, I presented a brand new, 4k-Model Digital Camera to NTA Uzairue. I must commend the Nigerian media for its bravery in news reportage.

“The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), is the foremost television station that blazed the trail in broadcast journalism in the Nigerian media space.

“I want to commend the NTA for being the engine room of broadcasting in Nigeria. As of today, NTA remains the hallmark of quality communication in the broadcast field, as the many personnel it has produced over the years, constitute the bedrock of thorough-bred professionals in Nigeria’s media industry, particularly private media organizations across the country.

“l see the media as formidable partners in all l do, in my private and public life, because they have been there for me, since when the country was in very perilous times. l would not have been Deputy Governor today, had they not been upright with their reports. It was the bravery and courage of a reporter that brought me out when I was almost forgotten in detention during those dark days in Nigeria. The reports they share are life-saving, no matter what.

“In my little way of saying thank you for the umpteenth time, I present this video camera as a token to keep aiding your productions.”
