 Atiku Kwankwaso Buni other top politicians meet in Abuja

Politicians from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday, buried their differences and honoured Katsina-born business mogul, A Dahiru Mangal, whose son got married.

Shamsudeen Mangal, wedded Habeeba Ayuba Musa, at Abi Talib Central Mosque, Maitama, Abuja, on Friday.

Among those in attendance were former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; Yobe State Governor and National Chairman, APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni.

Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, paid a N500,000 dowry to the bride’s family on behalf of the groom.

The officiating cleric, Sheik Abdullahi Bala Kau, in his sermon said one of the aims of marriage to strengthen kinship with friends and families.

He buttressed this with Prophet Muhammad giving out his daughters to his disciples and him marrying daughters of disciples.

“Prophet SAW gave out his daughter to Ali and two of his daughters to Usman. He also married the daughters of Abubakar and Umar. This is to further tighten the existing relationships between him and his close associates.”

Other attendees were Sokoto State governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Senate President, Ahmad Lawal and his predecessor, Bukola Saraki.
