Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, Friday, revealed why killings by terrorists are being tolerated by northerners.
According to the Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s former aide, northerners are turning a blind eye to the killings because a fellow northerner is president of the country.
The socio-political activist further added that, the northerners chose to live under this deadly condition, as long as a Northerner is in charge.
PlatinumPost reports that President Muhammadu Buhari hails from Katsina State, North-West Nigeria.
In a post on his official Twitter handle on friday, he stated that, “The reason many Northern Nigerians tolerate the widespread killings of Northerners by their fellow Northerners is because a Northerner is President. Sadly, to many Northerners, it is better to live under such deadly conditions, as long as a Northerner is in charge”.
PlatinumPost recalled that Mr Omokri has predicted the possibility of northerners to retain power in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
According to a post on his official Facebook page on Oct 3rd, the socio-political activist slammed Southern Nigerians for not giving much attention to the coming elections like their counterparts in the North.
The post reads, “Northern Nigeria may well hold on to power beyond 2023. Follow any Northern Hausa language only group on WhatsApp or Facebook, and they are hyper focused on 2023. But when you go on counterpart Southern Nigerian groups, the focus is on #BBNaija.
“We are too shallow for power to follow us. Southerners do protests and campaigns for big brother housemates, while Northerners are already protesting against power shift and setting up nationwide campaign structures. Power is not given.
“It is taken. We are too pleasure focused in Southern Nigeria. Our girls are busy strategising on how to get iPhone 13s either via the boardroom or the bedroom.
“Meanwhile Northerners are mobilising youths as young as 13 to ensure their end game in 2023. May unchecked ostentation not destroy the people of Southern Nigeria. In Christ’s Name”.
