APC Kano crisis is normal Ganduje asserts
Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reacted to the recent crisis rocking his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano which caused the party to split into two in the state.

Crisis has been trailing the just concluded congresses of the APC in the state. It has led to the division of the party into two.

While Ganduje has a camp, the other, tag G-7 has Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Jibrin Barau and other top shots. At the weekend, the National Leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu intervened.

Speaking in an interview with RFI Hausa on Wednesday, Ganduje said with the over 40-years of experience he had in politics, the present situation in Kano has nothing to worry about.

“The situation is normal in politics. There are always possibilities of division, so also there are for reconciliation.

“So all of us in both the two factions are professional politicians and have had the experience of such happenings. So the national body of our party is working to resolve the crisis.

“But what I’m trying to clear here is that we are not new to politics and we didn’t just jump into it. I joined politics since over 40 years ago, and in addition to that, I studied politics in the university, and that is what we are practising,” he said.
