A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state, Halima Aminu Kabara, has said that many politicians, both within the ruling party and oppositions are not fair to Abdullahi Abbas, the party’s chairman in the state.
PlatinumPost reports that Abbas has been heavily criticized by many over his handling of APC in Kano as they accused him of high-handedness and lack of respect to members of the party and oppositions.
However, Kabara, who hails from Kano Municipal Local Government dismissed such insinuation, saying, “people are not fair to him.”
According to her, Mr Abbas is the best choice for APC in the state in view of his doggedness and display of internal democracy in the party.
She noted that his bast experience and the knowledge of nitty-gritty of politics is what derived the party to win 2019 gubernatorial election as well as sweeping the 2021 Local Government polls.
She added that Abbas is simple and friendly person, adding that “only who are close to him can testify to that.”
“If you are far from him, you can’t judge him as rude. He is a very humble person who respects everybody that is dealing with him.
” He respects us as party members and respects everybody, even the oppositions. But I wonder why people are labelling him negatively. Honestly, people are not fair to Dan Sarki,” she said.
Kabara, who is fondly called ‘Warakar matan Jihar Kano’ also commended the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and his wife, Hafsat Ganduje for their commitments towards the development of women in the state.
She also praised the state Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba for his efforts to sell the good image of the Ganduje administration and the APC in Kano and beyond.
She also thankes other APC leaders in municipal and the state as a whole.
Kabara also called on women to go out en masse to have their voters card in order to vote for APC in 2023.
