Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to Friday attack on the convoy of former Gombe State governor, Danjuma Goje.
PlatinumPost reports that Goje, a serving senator, was reportedly prevented from entering Gombe by political thugs, who attacked his convoy and some of his supporters.
But reacting to the attack in a Facebook post on Sunday, Sani who recently defected to opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), condemned the attack on the ex-governor.
While saying he and others have also suffered same experience in Kaduna State, the rights activist said politicians should know that power cannot rest in one person forever.
His words : “The reported lynching of Senator Danjuma Goje in Gombe state is sad and unfortunate;but that was the exact situation some of us experienced, many times in kaduna some years ago.
” For the incumbent and the former Governor, the simple message is that power is transient.”
PlatinumPost gathered that Goje and Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya are said to be at dagger-drawn over the control of the All Progressives Congress structures in Gombe State.
Goje’s daughter on Saturday resigned as Commissioner for Environment in the Gombe State government, citing personal reason.
