Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, has commended former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for his contribution to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ahmad, who hails from Kano State, gave the commendations while congratulating Kwankwaso on his birthday celebration on Thursday.
PlatinumPost reports that Kwankwaso, was a member of APC and was elected as a senator on the party’s platform, only to dump it for the Peoples Democratic Party before the 2019 elections.
But in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, Ahmad said Kwankwaso deserved commendations for his support for APC before now.
His words: “Happy 65th birthday to our former Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Madugu).
” We thank you eminently for your excellent contributions to our dear Kano when you were a governor and also your huge contribution to our great party, the APC when you were with us.
Many happy returns.”
