Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced two new appointments into the government.
The governor in a post on his Facebook page late Saturday, said Prof. Faith Osadolor is now the new Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Justice while a banker, Ozavize Salami,
was named as the new chairman of as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
He said : “I have approved the appointment of Prof. Faith Osamagioghomwenwi Osadolor as the Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Justice, and appointed Ozavize E. Salami as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
“Prof. Osadolor is a Professor of Law at the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, while Salami is an educationist and investment banker with over 23 years of post-graduate experience.
PlatinumPost reports that he took the governor a year after winning his re-election to appoint commissioners, that were swore in a few days ago.
The issue of appointments is said to be the major cause of the crisis rocking the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State as many of the top party chieftains accused the governor of running a ‘one-man show’.
