Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, said his defection to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should not attract condemnations like that of Femi Fani-Kayode, who recently dumped the party for All Progressives Congress (APC).
PlatinumPost reports that both Sani and Femi Fani-Kayode, made their defections known separately on Thursday.
While the Kaduna-born rights activist decided to pitch a tent with the PDP after resigning from Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), on whose platform he unsuccessfully seeked re-election in 2019, Fani-Kayode left the PDP to APC, which he once described as a filthy Almajiri party.
The decision of Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister under the administration of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo as attracted widespread condemnations, with many likened his behaviour as one who returned to his vomit.
But speaking on his move to PDP and why he should be treated differently from Fani-Kayode, fondly called FFK, Sani said the Osun-born politician is physically stronger than him and may be able to withstand serious attacks.
“The way you are hitting FFK hard for defection don’t hit me hard like that;He is a muscular man with six packs and I’m a slim man with flat pack,” Shehu Sani said in a post on his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
