Business magnate, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo, is dead. He died of pancreatic cancer in London Sunday morning,
He was aged 63.
It was gathered that he was diagnosed with cancer last September.
The Edo-born late businessman, politician and philanthropist was chairman of Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS).
He was a good friend to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State until the September 2020 gubernatorial election in the state where he worked alongside Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to support the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obaseki, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the election, defeated Ize-Iyamu, despite the support he received from Oshiomhole – a two-time governor of the state and the financial war chest of Okunbo.
