A farmer, Clement Emetoma, was crushed to death by a train on Tuesday while going to his farm in Abraka, Delta State.
He rode on his motorcycle and had a deaf and dumb with him who jumped off the motorcycle but had one of his legs broken.
Reacting to the incident, a chieftain of People’s Democratic Party and its state organising secretary, Onoriode Sunday, who is from the same ward with the deceased, said the death was shocking to him.
While mourning late Clement, Onos said, “His death is a very sad one. It is difficult to get loyal people to work in this life and when you have one it is very painful that he died just like that. He was very close to me.”
He prayed that God accepts his soul.
Meanwhile, a governorship aspirant for the 2023 election in Delta State, Evangelist Akpo Ofomana, has described Clément’s death as painful and the handiwork of the devil.
