A member representing Dutse local government area at the state House of Assembly, Honourable Musa Sule Dutse, has been suspended by his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kachi Ward.
According to the release on Monday made available by the Kachi ward Chairman and the Secretary, Alhaji Musa Ali and Adamu Garba Mazari respectively, said that the reason behind the suspension is disobedience to the party leaders by the lawmaker.
The release further explained that the member has been sidelining the party’s exco in some of his activities.
The release pointed out that the member directed his supporters to challenge the stakeholders and the party’s leaders through social media and radio programmes.
On his part, the embattled state assembly member, Musa Sule told our reporter that the party’s decision was borne out of frustration of being exposed for their corrupt leadership.
Alhaji Musa Sule said, “within this Ramadan period, the senator representing Jigawa south-west, Alhaji Sabo Nakudu gave them a huge amount of money to be shared amongst party members which they siphoned”.
He further stressed that “the state governor also gave them money which they never shared to party members, that was why I refused to give them mine for the fact that they may defraud other members”.
“They’re angry with me for this decision and I will not recant on my position”, he concluded.
