Wike bags chieftaincy title in Benue, says no one is safe in Nigeria

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been bestowed with a chieftaincy title by Tor Tiv, James Ayatse, for his support for the people of Benue State.

Wike, who received the title alongside Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Sule Abdullahi of Nasarawa and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, said no one is safe in the country until everybody is safe.

He made this known in a post on his Twitter’s handle on Friday morning.

The governor said : “I specially appreciate the Tiv Traditional Council led by the Tor Tiv, Professor James Ayatse for the Chieftancy Title and honour given to me, my wife and my collegue Governors of Sokoto, Nasarawa and Enugu states for our support to the state especially in her trying moments.

“Nigeria now more than ever needs such handshakes across our sub national units as no one is safe until we are all safe and no one can truely be happy until we are all happy. Gestures like this goes a long way to build a united and harmonious Nation
with strong bonds of love and friendship among our component units.

“I also congratulate the people of Benue State as we participated in the commisioning of the Shaahu Road in Gboko Town, Aper Aku Road, Prof. Martin Dent Road and a new Palace built for the the Tor Tiv by the Benue State Government.”
