The President and founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has written a congratulatory letter to the new President of Niger Republic, Mohamed Bazoum.
Bazoum was inaugurated at the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Centre, Niamey on Friday.
In a letter he personally signed, Gwarzo expressed optimism that the new President would take Niger Republic to “the promised land.”
“Bazoum is a committed and patriotic leader who will bring development to the country in various aspects and take her to the promised land,” he said in the letter.
While wishing the new President a succeseful tenure in office, Professor Gwarzo also prayed to God to guide and give him the wisdom to steer the leadership of the country.
“We pray that as he assume office today, may the all mighty Allah help him to succeed,” part of the letter said.
He said “the management of the university expresses hope that the cordial relationship existing between the government of former president Mahamadou Issoufou and the university would be sustained by the new government of president Mohamed Bozoum.
“The Management of MAAUN wishes the former President Mahamadou Issoufou happiness, success and God’s guidance in all his future endeavors,” the letter added.
