
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 1,533 persons that recovered from COVID-19 were on Saturday discharged nationwide.
This is just as the public health agency put the number of daily new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country at 1,143, adding that 13 persons died from coronavirus complications in the last 24 hours.
NCDC, which disclosed this on its official Twitter handle late on Saturday, said Saturday discharges includes 1,040 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
The agency said the latest figures have brought the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country since its outbreak to 145,664, discharge patients- 120,399 and the overall death toll – 1,747.

It said new cases of the virus were recorded in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with Lagos topping the list with 319.
