Commandant Police Academy decorates 21 newly promoted officers

The Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano Assitant Inspector General of Police Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim mni, has decorated twenty one newly promoted officers of the institution.

Decorating the officers on Tuesday at the Assembly Hall of the institution, AIG Ibrahim tasked the officers to continue to exhibit high level of professionalism and discipline in discharging their duties as police officers.


Mr. Ibrahim expressed sense of fulfillment being the fourth occasion he performed the decoration of newly promoted officers in the Academy and described the promotions as a call for additional responsibilities as they would be training the future officers that would be taking over the job.

A statement signed by the institution spokesman DSP N. Habib said the beneficiaries involved those promoted from DeputySuperintendents to Superintendents of Police, Assistant Superintendents to Deputy Superintendents and Inspectors of Police to Assistant Superintendents.

They include SP Justin Takyun who is the sporting officer of the Academy, DSP N. Habib, ANIPR, PPRO, ASP Ɗankaura Musa in charge of Communications and ASP Sama’ila Suleiman among others.

He described Academy’s project as a collective project and therefore advised officers to always consider and treat the cadets as their own children discipline wise.

The Commandant who revealed that the Nigeria Police Academy is the only Police University in West Africa and second of its kind on the African continent, charged the officers to put in their best to enhance the quality of the cadets inline of the high expectations and international standard.
