“We have agreed that the reconciliation team will resolve whatever crisis the party may have been entangled in the nine local government area of the party.
“I wish to correct the impression on imposition which is the major issues currently bedeviling the party. The alleged imposition of candidates for chairmanship and councillorship positions for the forthcoming council polls, is not true and the party at no time impose candidates on the people.
“Candidates who emerged on the basis of consensus were generated by the wards and local government leadership,” he said.
Iduh, however, urged leaders and PDP faithful to give the needed support to leader of the party in the State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who is one of the Delta North senatorial district members.
While charging the district on unity of purpose, focus, bonding as one indivisible family, respect for party leadership and respect for one another, Iduh said that the level of of unity demonstrated in the zone remains a determinant factor of how much respect other zones would accord it.
He explained that the consensus platform recommended for the just concluded primary was the best blueprint so far, noting that in the past, more than 20 persons would procure form for one position and at the end, only one person would emerge after everyone had spent lots of funds.
The PDP chieftain, however pleaded with those who didn’t make it at the primary to be patient as they may be lucky next time.
He said: “Anioma nation has been blessed to have one of her own as Governor of the state. I urge all on the need to court friendship across all strata, bringing many into the party fold while we working as a team to ensure that all the issues are resolved especially those who are aggrieved by any process as we will have all issues settled rather than allowed to leave the party just like that”
