The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it is patriotic duty for everybody from the eastern part of the country to support its newly launched Eastern Security Network (ESN).

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who stated this on Sunday, said no Igbo man or woman should claims neutrality in issue that has to do with security.

” If you’re from Eastern Nigeria (#Biafra), it’s your patriotic duty to support #ESN. You cannot be neutral or silent on a matter that concerns your security,” the separatist leader, who fled the country about three years ago, posted on his Twitter’s handle @MaziNnamdiKanu.

PlatinumPost reports that Kanu while unveiling the ESN last month, said the security outfit would protect the people of South-East from frequent attacks by alleged Fulani herdsmen.

“This is our answer to insecurity and Fulani terrorism,” Kanu had said.

Recall that the six South-West governors had also launched a security group in 2020 known as Amotekun Corps to protect the people of Yoruba land from attacks by armed men.
