The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1074 new infections of COVID-19 in the country.
The NCDC made this known via its verified website on late Friday.
The NCDC said that the new infections bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 88,587 while the total discharge patients stand at 74373 and 1,294 deaths.
The public health agency said that the country sadly recorded five additional death in the last 24 hours while 660 patients were discharged.

The NCDC said that the new infections were reported from 14 states and and the Federal Capital Territory, in the last 24 hours.
According to the figures, Lagos state had 642 new infections, while Kaduna recorded 92, Rivers State – 78 and the Federal Capital Territory recorded 66 new infections.
Others states with new infections were Gombe -66, Kano -35, Ogun-31, Katsina-22, Plateau-20, Abia – 7, Oyo-4, Niger-4, Akwa Ibom – 3, Delta – 2 and Osun-2.
