JUST IN : Kidnapped Kano’s businessman regains freedom

A businessman, Abdullahi Bello Kalos, who was kidnapped from his residence at Minjibir, Minjibir local government area of Kano State four days ago, has regained freedom.

A reliable source in the community confirmed that two of the businessman relatives returned home with him around 4:00 am on Saturday, from a village in Babura local government area of Jigawa State.

It was gathered that the abductors in their communication with the victim’s family on Friday were demanding for N15m ransom.

However, it was not clear whether a ransom was paid to his abductors who in a brazen operation on Wednesday night burnt down a police van.

Also, confirming his release, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kano command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, said they rescued the victim from the abductors early on Saturday morning

Although a source in Minjibir who spoke with the family confirmed that the Police were not involved in the release of the businessman.
