The Director-General, Kano State Metropolitan Agency, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat has resigned his appointment.
This was contained in a letter addressed to Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje titled ‘Notification of Resignation and Expression of Interest to Contest as Chairman of Ungogo local government’.
Recall that Ramat recently won the All Progressive Congress Chairmanship ticket for Ungogo local government council in the state.
Ramat in the dated December, 14th 2020 said, ” I have reached this decision with lots of thought and firmly rooted in my desire to bring legislative changes and to meet the yearning and aspiration of the good people of Ungogo LG. While seeking your excellency support, I wish to thank your excellency immensely for the opportunity given to me, to serve the good people of Kano State under your administration.’’
Ganduje approved Ramat’s appointment July,2019 as the Director General of Kano Metropolitan Agency.
He was candidate for House of Representatives in Ungogo/Minjibir Federal Constituency, in the 2019 general elections.
