Former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye has asked Africans, particularly Nigerians to reject any COVID-19 vaccines.
Melaye in a video posted on his Facebook wall Wednesday said, “I am calling on all Africans, particularly Nigerians not to accept the use of any vaccine for now.”
Recall PlatinumPost had reported that the federal government said it has put in place the machinery for receiving 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine in early 2021.
Collaborating with that, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Director for Africa also stressed that vaccines are the best hope of ending COVID-19 pandemic in Africa.
Contrary to this, Melaye explained that it is impossible to develop such vaccine in one year.
“For hundred years, we couldn’t find a vaccine for cancer, for over forty years we are yet to find any vaccine for HIV&AIDS. For another hundred years we are yet to find a vaccine for diabetes.
“How is it possible that in one year you found a vaccine for COVID-19?” He asked.
The Human rights activist alleged that “an intelligent gathering revealed that those who took the vaccines died in three days.”
He further cautioned all African leaders not to allow Africans to be used as “guinea pigs by developed nations for their satanic reasons.”
