The speaker of the Kano state House of Assembly, Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa, have resigned his position.
In the resignation letter obtained by PlatinumPost the former speaker said he took the decision to quit on personal grounds.
According to a source in the Assembly a new speaker is expected to emerge during plenary later Tuesday.
