National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has described Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as one of the leading icons and thinkers of unity in the country.
The Jagaban of Borgu made this known at a reception to celebrate the marriage of the daughter of an Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman, the Chief Imam of Masjid-Al-Sahaba, Friday Mosque, on Friday in Kano.
This is contained in a statement made available to PlatinumPost and signed by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State’s governor.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, said the
role Ganduje continues to play in promoting unity in the country deserves real commendations.
“His Excellency Governor Abdullahi Ganduje is indeed one of the leading thinkers for national unity. He deserves this accolade and many more,” he said.
Calling on all Nigerians to work hard for the unity of the country, Tinubu said “dividers will not stop in doing things they think can divide us, but the truth of the matter is, we will not allow them to achieve their selfish interest.”
In the area of infrastructural development, the APC leader said Ganduje has recorded tremendous performance that has impacted positively on the lives of residents of Kano State.
“From airport to this place I have seen so many developmental projects that add many positive things to the state.
“We are elated by your hardwork and commitment towards developing the state. This is commendable. I urge you to continue developing the state, we all have faith in you and your patriotic posture.”
