The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Tinubu has said that the unity of Nigeria is paramount to him, and will continue to strive to main its indivisible entity.

Tinubu stated this in Kano when he attended the wedding fatiha of the daughter of a popular Kano-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muhammad Bin-Uthman on Friday.

He also stated that Nigerian leaders must work hard for the unity and development of the country because the dividers of the nation would not stop trying to divide the country, noting that “if we are United, they will not achieve their sinister motives.”

According to him, the unity of the country is one of the major areas that should be given more priority in daily activities, adding that the country would be peaceful if there is sense of unity among the citizens.

Tinubu prayed for the couple, Naisa Muhammad Bin-Uthman, and Nuruddeen Adam, a happy married life, long life, good health and blessed family.

In his remarks, the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje stated that the wedding is an important considering the family of the couple.

“Looking at the caliber of people at the wedding Fatiha, it is a clear indication that Bin Uthman has been contributing immensely towards the promotion of Islam and unity of the country.

“I was having a programme outside the city, but when Tinubu told me he was coming to Kano for a wedding Fatiha, even if I am around, I decided not to go anywhere until he has left.” Ganduje said.

Earlier in his welcome address, Bin Uthman commended Tinubu and Ganduje for blessing the wedding Fatiha, saying it is an indication that Nigeria is united.
