Abductors of the wife of a lecturer at the Delta State University ( DELSU) Abraka, Mrs Esther Sunny Ojobor, are currently asking for N10million ransom from her family members to secure her release.
Recall that Mrs Esther Sunny Ojobor was last Monday evening kidnapped by some persons suspected to be fulani hersdmen around her privately owned store after she had closed from her school where she teaches.
The battle to secure her release by security operatives in the state had been ongoing until on Wednesday when the Kidnappers through a telephone conversation, established a contact to ask for N10million ransom for her release or she will be killed.
But the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya when contacted confirmed that there was already contact established by the Kidnappers, adding that the police were doing everything possible to stem the tide of kidnappings in the area and its environs.
Family member who spoke to our Correspondent in Asaba on condition of anonymity described the incident as unfortunate.
The Family member narrated ,”the Kidnappers called us on Wednesday night and were asking for N10million ransom. They were talking like fulani hersdmen through the telephone and their English language was not clear at all”
The husband of the victim, Dr Sunny Ojobor who spoke to our Correspondent in Asaba said, “the Kidnappers are asking for N10million and it is very shocking that we have gotten to this extent in Nigeria. Imagine them kidnapping a person that is doing her own private business and managing her life. We are praying that nothing should happen to her,”
