Nigeria has reported 146 new cases of COVID-19 infections within the last 24 hours.
The number brings to 65,982 the total confirmed cases of the dreaded virus in the country, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), has said.
According to figure posted on its verified Twitter’s handle late Friday’s evening, Lagos State, the epiccentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria tops in the new infections recorded with 70 and followed by Kaduna with 25 cases.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has 22 cases on the list, Ogun State-11 while Plateau and Oyo states had 4 each.
Others include Ekiti-3, Osun-2, Edo-1 and Kano-1.
The NCDC revealed that there was no COVID-19 related death in the last 24 hours in the country, even as a total of 61, 782 patients have so far been discharged while the death toll stand at 1,165.
