A socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has picked holes in the police invitation extended to Kannywood actress, Rahma Sadau, for posting a photo of herself on social media wearing a backless dress and not covering her hair.
PlatinumPost reports that Sadau’s picture generated several negative reactions on social media, with many describing it as un-islamic and indecent.
But reacting to a directive by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, to the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Umar Muri, to investigate the Kannywood actress over the posted picture, Yesufu said Sadau is being targeted because she is not from a rich home.
“Poverty is a bastard! @Rahma_sadau is being invited because she is a child of nobody who dared to become somebody!
“Why didn’t they invite the daughters of @NuhuRibadu and @GovUmarGanduje ?When did @PoliceNG become moral police?” Yesufu queried in a tweet on her verified Twitter’s handle, @AishaYesufu.
PlatinumPost gathered that the police investigation of Sadau was sequel to a petition written to the IGP by one Mallam Lawal Gusau over the issue.
