Following the alleged curses rained on evil activities in Abraka community, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State by elders in the area, four suspected Yahoo, Yahoo Boys have been reported dead in their sleep at their hotel room.
Although the situation and bizarre death of the suspects are reportedly treated with a pinch of salt as nothing seemed to have happened but was gathered that the suspects had slept in the hotel room together, and four of them died in their sleep on Thursday night, while two others are at the present unconscious and admitted into a private hospital in the area
Commissioner of police in the State, Hafiz Muhammed Inuwah who confirmed the incident to journalists in Asaba on Friday, said that the incident occurred at Sunrose Hotel on Ogboru road in Abraka Community, adding that the only survivor of the seven suspects was said to have raised the alarm in the early hours of Friday after he discovered that some of his roommates were unconscious.
According to the police boss” They were rushed to the hospital in Abraka Community where four were confirmed dead, while two of the dead ones were siblings, another from the community while the last was also related to others, three of the survivors were rushed to Eku Government Hospital where they are being treated in Oxygen, and the four who died, we are yet to know the cause of their death, but those who responded to the alarm raised by the survivors, said that they got there ( apartment) there was a strong stench that they could not stand and had to go”
Eyewitness Richard Omorogho said that the bodies of the deceased surprisingly had their heads swollen and their bodies peeling off which may be an indication of poisonous substances that they inhaled, while others blamed their deaths on generator fumes.
Hafiz Muhammed Inuwah speaking further, said that investigation was ongoing adding that” They are products of internet frauds and one of the three survivors had been interrogated by the police and would make useful information to avid our investigation. Two are still unconscious and I am aware that medical practitioners are doing their best to keep them alive. We are waiting for the update from the doctors in order to know what would have been the cause of their deaths”
Unconfirmed sources said that one of the deceased suspects was developing a piece of land in Abraka Community when the bubble burst in the face of his inability to pay those who were working for him.
