Bauchi State government has donated palliative materials to households recently affected by flood in Warji local government area to cushion the hardships.
The relief materials would also ameliorate the suffering of the people as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic in area.
Governor Bala Mohammed while handing over the materials to the District Head of Warji on Monday assured that his administration would not relent in ensuring that the displaced are resettled.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy Senator Baba Tela, disclosed that 3500 households benefitted from the palliative and sympathised with the victims.
He explained that, the palliative was donated by the federal government, wealthy individuals and other donor agencies to the most vulnerable members of the society to alleviate their suffering.
On his part, Bauchi State Chairman Palliative Committee, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, the Emir of Bauchi, also sympathised with the victims.
The Emir, who was represented by a member of the Committee, Alh Bala Adamu Kariya said, the Committee will make sure that the palliatives reached the intended beneficiaries.
Receiving the materials on behalf of Warji local government, the district head of Warji, Alh Hassan Ismaila Boyi promised to distribute the palliative with the fear of God.
