The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Community Enterprise Development, Mr Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese has thanked the state governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa, for appointing some notable sons and daughters of Agbon Kingdom into various offices since 2015, to date
He made the commendation while speaking at the hosting ceremony organised by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Communications, Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, for PDP Ward Six Unit 13 Youth, women and elders as well as the newly inaugurated Ward six-party exco on in Kokori, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the State.
Emeyese, a former federal lawmaker, said Okowa administration has been fair in the distribution of political appointments and other dividends of democracy across the three senatorial districts of North, South and Central, pointing out that the Governor deserves the total support and prayers of Deltans to enable him to accomplish his goal of a Stronger Delta on or before May 29, 2023.
He commended the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Communications, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe for his tenacity, dedication and commitment to his assigned responsibilities especially for his efficient and effective projection of government policies, programmes and achievements as well as in deflating misinformation and baseless criticisms by the governor’s political detractors and the major opposition party (APC) publicists.
He recalled his political journey with Oghenesivbe which began in 2007 and described the EAC as a skilled, well-read, broad-minded political communicator and a rare breed in media politics. He urged him to sustain his good working relationship with the Governor, his colleagues and party leaders across the state.
In the same vein, the honourable commissioner for Urban Renewal, Barrister Arthur Akpowowo said Oghenesivbe has successfully and systematically created a unique identity and enviable trademark for himself in the field of political communication, noting that the EAC remained the best and most sort after brand in strategic media politics in the state and beyond.
Akpowowo urged “The Pen Eagle” (as he is fondly called), to strive hard not to lose sight of his boss the Governor, adding that Okowa has the capacity to further enhance his communication career by recommending him now and in the future for higher political appointments and enviable leadership positions in the state and at the federal level.
He commended the foresight of the EAC for commencing grassroots politics in addition to media politics, adding that the combination of both will further place him in the forefront of state and national politics and subsequently become more valuable in electioneering mappings and implementation in the state and in the party, PDP.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite thanked Governor Okowa for bringing out the best in Oghenesivbe, noting that his task as one of the Governor’s communication strategists further polished and enhanced his communication skills which are why he is performing brilliantly and without blemish, for the governor and the state.
The Ethiope East Council Boss disclosed that EAC Oghenesivbe championed her election media team in 2014 and did a great job, which placed her far ahead of other aspirants as the most famous and generally accepted ideal person for the job, and that she was subsequently elected in a landslide victory.
