Kano State Government has banned on all celebrations during the forth coming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in a bid to prevent spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba disclosed this Wednesday during a joint press conference in the state.
According to him, Eid prayers would be carried out with strict compliance to the laid down protocols.
Garba stated that all the Emirs of the Emirate Councils in the state would go to the Eid Prayer Ground in their respective domains via motor vehicle.
He stressed that there would be no visit to Shettima House, gathering for Hawan Daushe, Hawan Nassarawa and other traditional outings in the Emirates.
He explain that the Kano state government would assist in the provision of safety materials which includes face masks and hand sanitizers, as well as ensure strict observance of social distancing at the praying grounds.
